Memory care in Georgetown

No two people experience aging the same way, which is why our approach to care at Mercy House is centered on the individual. We take time to understand each resident’s history, preferences, routines, and health needs before crafting a care plan that reflects who they are, not just what they need. Whether someone requires assistance with daily activities or full-time memory care, our experienced team provides attentive and respectful support that adjusts as their needs evolve.

Every resident enjoys the privacy of their room, complete with personal climate control and a private bathroom, which provides both comfort and independence. The smaller size of our homes allows us to maintain a high caregiver-to-resident ratio, so support is never rushed and always relational. We treat every interaction—whether it’s a meal, a medication reminder, or a quiet conversation—as an opportunity to build trust and connection.

Daily Life That Feels Familiar and Fulfilling

At Mercy House Georgetown, life flows at a peaceful, steady pace—just like home. Residents gather for meals around family-style dining tables, where home-cooked food is served fresh and with love. Days are filled with a balance of relaxation and activity, from quiet mornings on the porch to engaging group games, crafts, music, and storytelling. We aim to create a sense of rhythm and normalcy, where every day holds something to look forward to.

Our tranquil countryside setting provides not only beautiful views but also safe, enclosed outdoor spaces where residents can enjoy sunshine, fresh air, and gentle movement. Indoors, open floor plans, cozy standard rooms, and a warm aesthetic make every corner feel inviting. These spaces are more than just attractive—they’re carefully designed to reduce confusion, increase accessibility, and promote calm for residents with memory loss.

Care That Begins and Ends with Family

Mercy House was born out of a deeply personal story: our founders watched their own mother care for an ailing father while trying to manage her own declining health. That experience opened their eyes to how exhausting caregiving can be—and how vital it is to have a supportive alternative. They discovered the small home model of care and were profoundly impacted by its intimacy, warmth, and ability to preserve dignity. Inspired, they built Mercy House to share that same experience with others.

Today, their children and grandchildren continue the mission, carrying on the same values that shaped those early days. This isn’t a corporate operation—it’s a family legacy. Our team members are chosen not just for their skills, but for their ability to form meaningful bonds with residents. Many are described as trusted companions or extended family by the people they serve, a reflection of our commitment to cultivating real, enduring relationships.
